If you're a student in the market for a new Mac or iPad Pro, Apple has an enticing promotion that'll boost your value-per-dollar: their latest offer for students gets you a free set of Beats wireless headphones with the purchase of eligible devices.

Which devices are eligible? You can pick from:

  • iPad Pro ($629 to $779)
  • iMac ($1,049 to $1,399)
  • Macbook ($1,249 to $1,549)
  • Macbook Air ($849 to $1,049)
  • Macbook Pro ($1,249 to $1,899)
  • Mac Pro ($2,799 to $3,699)

The prices above are base prices without additional upgrades or add-ons.

When it comes to the Beats headphones, what you get for free depends on what you buy. The three wireless headphones available include:

  • Beats Solo3 (normally $299)
  • Powerbeats3 Wireless (normally $199)
  • BeatsX Earphones (normally $149)

If you pick the iMac, Macbook, Macbook Air, Macbook Pro, or Mac Pro, you can get any of the three headphones for free. If you choose the iPad Pro, you can get the BeatsX for free, or you can get one of the other headphones with a discount: the Beats Solo 3 for $150 and the Powerbeats3 Wireless for $50.

Apple's back to school education pricing deal is available to newly accepted college students and their parents, and faculty, staff, and homeschool teachers of all grade levels.

What do you think of Apple's offer? If you're in the market for a new laptop is this enough to make you opt for a Macbook instead of any other brand? Let us know in the comments.
