Have you ever thought it would be fun to make some really old pictures animated? Well the New York Public Library is hoping that is the case, because they have created Stereogranimator to allow you to do just that. In fact, they actually want you to do it. They have over 40,000 images that they want altered, and they are turning to the public to make it happen.
Simply head to their website and click “Create.” From here it will guide you step by step through the process of creating a GIF or 3D image. You simply need to drag the frame around the image you chose until it looks just right. On the right side of the screen you view the product and click to view it in 3D (which requires 3D glasses, otherwise it just looks blurry).
You can also click on the “Galley” to view the images created by other people. This will help give you an idea of where that “sweet spot” is and what the final image should look like.
- Easy to use and create GIFs and 3D images.
- Library of over 40,000 images for your enjoyment.
