There should be a few dedicated folders stuffed with photos on your Windows PC. Now, there are a few ways to start a picture slideshow on Windows and watch them dance from one frame to another.
But what if I told you that there’s a faster way to start a slideshow in Windows 10 that almost goes unnoticed? And it’s hiding in plain sight within each folder that has photos in it. Head to your picture folder right now.
Start the Slideshow
Open the folder with the pictures you want to view as a slideshow.
Expand the Ribbon if you have kept it minimized. For folders with pictures, a new yellow tab called Picture tools will appear above the Manage tab on the Ribbon. This tab has all the tools to rotate a photo left or right, start a slideshow, or set a photo as your desktop background.
Click the Slide show command to begin the slideshow of all your pictures.
You can also display only selected pictures. Choose the pictures that you want to see in the slideshow and then click the Slideshow button. Hit the space bar to pause the slideshow. You can also right-click on the slideshow to control the speed of the display.
You don’t have to hunt for a app thanks to this little feature in the Ribbon. Try this the next time you want to review the bunch of vacation shots or display them to your family.
