Spotify Brings Expert Playlists To Suit Your Every Mood & Moment [Updates]

It’s definitely music to the ears as Spotify introduces curated playlists for every mood and occasion. The specially selected playlists selected by the Spotify staffers (experts) is coming to Android and iOS Spotify apps first, and then gradually to other platforms. Spotify is calling it “expert playlists” after the fashion of carefully picking out the best (or the most apt) for any moment of the day like a party, a jog, or just a quiet stay at home evening by the fireplace. Creating your own playlists is a chore and more so if you want to cover all the moods and moments of a single day for all the family, so the recommended songs on the expert playlists should be a fresher kick.

Spotify announced the rollout in a recent press release. The expert playlists will be available from a new Browse page on the music streaming service. Along with the emotion matched picks, it will also include the latest trending songs from your favorite artists. The playlists offer us another way to discover new songs and should go well in tandem with the Discover update launched last month. The social recommendations complete the “three-dimensional” approach Spotify is taking to make our listening more satisfying.

Gustav Söderström, Chief Product Officer, at Spotify has this to say about the launch, “We don’t rely on one source for recommendations in real life – and music discovery can’t be one dimensional.”

Playlists curated for us are always a time-saver. They also offer more opportunities for making welcome discoveries of new songs and even genres. Spotify’s playlists will also be dynamic as new picks are chosen. Stream your take in the comments below.

Hmm, never been a fan of Spotify, I remember using is 2 years ago before they added all the lame restrictions – hey they gotta make profit I guess! Ahh well, I prefer to download my music anyway. :)

The more options, the better it is for an audiophile I say! Curated playlists are great for those occasions when you feel like listening to something in the background i.e. passive listening while you are doing something else.

Yeah I guess it has it’s pros and cons! However, If you have the time (which I do) I just create my own playlists and am happy with that, but hey, everyone has their own preference! =)
