Suppose you are hanging out with a friend and you are both in the mood to listen to some music. You want to listen to Audioslave while your friend wants to listen to Coldplay. You have music of both bands on the phone but you do not want to put on a track by Coldplay; at the same time, you do not want to deny your friend his simple request of playing the band he likes. What to do? The answers comes through a very simple to use smart device application that is called Splitr.
Splitr is a free to use smart device application that is compatible with iOS devices. The app is sized at nearly 0.9 MB and it requires your iPod Touch, iPhone, or iPad device to be running version 5.0 or later of iOS. The name of the application could not be more fitting. What this app does is that is plays two different songs through your earphones. But how can that be possible? The sounds would overlap and produce utter noise pollution! The app performs this task brilliant and simply by making use of stereo sound. In other words, one song is played on the left channel while the other song is played on the right channel. All you need then are stereo earphone – which yours most probably already are – and then start playing the song from the application. You can give one earphone piece to your friend while you listen to the music from the other one. Simple!
