Soundrop, a Spotify app that allows you to listen to and vote on music with strangers, has just launched an iPhone app called Soundrop.fm to compliment their built-in Spotify application. Soundrop is an awesome way to discover new artists in nearly any genre you could imagine. The app features a massive list of songs, and users vote for the songs they want to hear. Whichever song has the most votes when the current song ends is played next.
Now, users can get access to this awesome app on the go with their Spotify-powered iPhone application. It works exactly the same as the computer based app, just on a smaller screen. You need a Facebook account and a premium Spotify membership to make use of the Soundrop application.
Once installed, you will need to log in with your Facebook account and click on a genre of your choice to start listening to music. Keep in mind, streaming music via Spotify uses a large amount of data, and with US carriers cracking down on unlimited data plans, you will want to be careful and stick to WiFi when possible.
The application is available now for free on the iTunes App Store. Let us know in the comments how you like Soundrop iOS compared to the desktop counterpart.
