Following its recent major update, Soluto has announced on Tuesday that its services are no longer limited to regular computers. From now on, Soluto users will be able to remotely support and manage their clients’, colleagues’, friends’ and family’s iOS devices, including iPhones and iPads.
If you’re providing remote tech support for clients, colleagues, or even family and friends, you may already be using Soluto. After installing Soluto on your client’s device, you can easily check its status, push installs, and get alerts when something goes wrong. All this is now possible for iOS devices as well, and is available for all Soluto users, including those on free plans.
Managing iOS devices through Soluto gives you access to important device information, while protecting the owner’s personal information such as photos, contacts and messages.
When managing an iOS device, you can easily access information such as OS version, usage and battery details, security settings, and even its serial number, IMEI and UDID. You can turn roaming on and off, set up a security code for a device remotely, decide when the screen should lock automatically, and what happens when the wrong code is entered multiple times.
You get full access to the list of installed apps, and can easily push app installations onto the device remotely. If a device under your management is lost or stolen, you can use Soluto’s dashboard to remotely lock the device, or even wipe it completely.
Giving someone such access to your device requires a lot of trust, but can also save considerable time for both the owner and the person providing support. Imagine being able to install apps on your uncle’s iPhone without having to actually meet!
What do you think of Soluto’s new iOS features?
