track ip addresses

The very moment you visit the Smart-IP website, your IP address will be displayed, along with the name of your ISP and the location it is being routed from. Clicking on the “Your Location” tab will use your location to find your geo-tagged location. I noticed that my location was very much accurate and precise.

Run the “Test Connection” to find your maximum download and upload speed you are receiving from your ISP. The “System Info” gives the user the information regarding their system, which includes operating system, browser, cookies, Port, Screen Resolution and other details.

There are other tools available on the website such as an online anti-virus, checking email addresses to test their existence, tracing email which provides you with the email address where the email arrived from, the originating IP and more.

The speed test on this site is suspect - when I ran it it showed download speed as only 2.2Mbps, though I know it is not as slow as that, so I used the BBC iPlayer test which showed the speed as 10.1Mbps. Also this site showed upload speed of only 790Kbps when others show it as 8+Mbps.
