You refresh a webpage to see if any new content has been uploaded. But refreshing a webpage reloads all the page elements, not just the newly added items. This means that quite a bit of time is wasting reloading things that you can already see. Here to help save you that time is a tool called Smart Refresh.

reload web page without cache

Smart Refresh is a free to use browser add-on for Mozilla Firefox. The add-on helps you refresh your webpages in an intelligent manner. Basically the add-on provides you with a refresh button which you can add to the browser’s toolbars through the Custom buttons boxes. You can use this button or the Shift+F5 shortcut for refreshing the page without reloading the cache. This means that only new items on the webpage will be reloaded while the old stuff will remain unchanged.

This is can be a double-edged sword. Ever been on YouTube and there was one comment you wanted to read before watching the vid, only to come back and see that it has been drowned out by newer comments? It's probably something like that. Still, its usefulness may be able to negate the little bad things.

This addon is useful for a MUO visitor who needs to check the total points without need to reload the entire page and for scores too.
