The nice thing of Wordpress.com is that you can generate a lot of traffic easily (a lot more than blogger or a new paid domain) because of something like a "tag directory" which increases your pagerank in someway and drives you the traffic. The turn off is that i don't know why this is cool if i can't have adds or content with commercial purposes. Wordpress.com is for beginners and people who loves writing and would like been read by somebody and trascend in some way. In the mean time, you get more serious, buy a domain, install wordpress.org, apply all the web 2.0 marketing strategys, tools and plugins and vuala! in a couple of months you reach a considerable traffic and revenue in a blog fully configurable!! I'm hesitant to spend time on sites that aren't Mac friendly. (Before anyone says it, FireFox does not constitute Mac Friendliness. It's slow and clunky and I love my Safari.) Twitter is fun - I don't know about sending my blog posts to it, though. Maybe if I had a separate screen name for the name of the blog...
