Great article. We have just started a new company in the space called “Shoes of Prey”. We make custom ladies shoes that can be designed on our website. You can choose the shape of the shoe (and mix and match different shapes), and then choose the leather for each part.

I’m not sure if they still do custom but when I was in high school you could have your sneakers made from any material, any pattern. I had a friend who loved her grandmother’s funky curtains so she sent the material to the Van’s store and had some shoes made. It was great fun.
