Do you often work with a lot of tabs simultaneously opened? If yes, then you are going to need an effective way to navigate these tabs. A solution is offered by a browser tool called Sidewise Tree Style Tabs.

Sidewise Tree Style Tabs is a free to use browser tool that comes as a browser extension for Google Chrome. The extension provides you with a novel and convenient way to browse the currently open tabs in your Chrome browser. After you have installed the application, a side-window opens up. You can close this window or keep it open in case you want to use the app.

You will find a tree-like hierarchy of open tabs in this window. The main nodes are basically tabs that you directly open either via your bookmarks or by typing the URL in the address bar. Links that are opened in the same tab are also shown as main nodes. If you open up new tabs from links in a webpage i.e. using the Ctrl+LeftClick combination, the tree shows a new node, that is the subnode of the original page. Such a hierarchy helps you easily navigate tabs and find the ones that you are looking for.

A search feature is also enabled that lets you search the tabs using their titles and URLs. A note-taking option provided by the application lets you take notes while you work. The notes can be taking in the same side-window where the tree of tabs is shown.

Features:

  • A user friendly browser extension.
  • Compatible with Google Chrome.
  • Shows a tree like hierarchy of open tabs.
  • Lets you store notes.
