Pinterest takes the simpler road with sharing images. The upgraded “Pin It” for Chrome gives you a one-click timesaving option to populate your Pinterest boards. Now, hover over an image to make the Pin It icon appear in the top left-hand corner. Save the image with your own description — click the hovering button to open a pop-up window and enter customize the text before it is saved in one of your image boards. The URL of the source is also added with the image, making it easier to browse to the origins of the photo.
If you are more of the right-click kind of person, this option is also a part of your context menu when you right-click on an image. You can hide the hover button from the extension’s Options and choose the right-click menu way instead. Pinterest said it will bring the button to other browsers soon after the first run on Chrome.
This makes it easier and faster than ever to save articles, blog posts, recipes, products, and more, and then get back to browsing.
Are you an avid Pinterest user? Does the Pin It button make your Pinteresting life that much easier? Looking forward to your comments…and of course, your recipes, photos, wish photos, and more.
