There is a ton of software out there that allows users to share the content of their screen with others. Remote desktops used to be really impressive technology, but at this point, they have become commonplace. However, that does not mean that there is not room for one that does something really special, and Screenhero is certainly an example of that. Instead of simply sharing your screen, Screenhero allows users to collaborate with each user getting his or her own mouse to interact with the program.
Using Screenhero is easy. User simply invite someone else to share either the full desktop, or a single app. When another user accepts, the shared window will appear in their dock, and they can click it and interact with it as they would any other program running on their machine. This means you can work together, while each having full control to make changes and adjustments within the shared window.
The program supports any applications, so even something as simple as browsing the web can be a collaborative experience. While the app is currently only available on Mac, the developers are working on a PC version. They have a signup form on their website where you can request to be notified when a Windows version is ready to go. For now, Mac users can enjoy this awesome new way of sharing your screen. It is definitely worth a try if you have someone you need to collaborate with from afar.
