Make Use Of The New Scientific Calculator On Google Search [Updates]

Google is always tweaking its bits and parts. In the latest little change, Google has added a very useful scientific calculator to its search engine. Google Search has always had a calculator. It is just that you had to type in the figures and Google would deduce the results for you and display it in bold above the search results. Now, Google has enhanced that same functionality and added a full-fledged scientific calculator to the search page.

Type in your figures and the calculator appears in all its interactive glory. The calculator has 34 buttons with the scientific functions arranged on the left. You can also make it appear by typing calculator in the search field or in Chrome’s address bar.

The Google Scientific Calculator can also be used in the mobile version of the search engine (both iOS and Android). Depending on your mobile screen estate, you might have view the full calculator in the landscape mode. The added benefit of a calculator in Chrome and mobile is that you can use its voice search to enter the figures and calculate them for you.

The scientific calculator joins the league of the little tricks you can perform with Google Search. For the numerically inclined, it’s another little bow in the arrow along with the graphing calculator that was introduced last year.

What do you think of this latest addition to Google Search?

Having your own scientific calculator is still far easier to use, especially if you do lots of calculations like me for work
