FB started sending out a message to my friends about a weight loss program I was recommending. Then it started sending out a link to go to about a photo in 1998 dot com and “I bet you don’t remember that” message. FB friends started responding back with questions. As I told them it wasn’t from me, I realized I’d been hacked and changed my password same day. Now when I try to log in to my FB account it’s asking me to upload a government ID picture of myself. This just sounds way too wrong. I think I’m done with FB. Anyone else running into this?

Facebook need to review the apps before alowing them to be published. We’re all sick of spam

Facebook continues to evolve & the user needs to be vigilant. It annoys me that I can be joined to a group without my approval & I then continue to get email updates that can be in the 100′s even though I’ve already turned all notifications off.

To make it simple, any app that claims to do this is a scam. Facebook does not allow developers to access this info, and if an app can say it can, it’s being dishonest.

I agree. They kind of have that in place for their app store, but standard apps like this can be made by anyone and published. It’s up to the users to do their due diligence

I agree, people see something promising a feature they are looking for and do not even bother to look into it!
