Firefox is noticeably quicker than IE. Better still, get rid of windoze altogether and upgrade to linux - Ubuntu (free) is much faster than Win and has a LOT less security issues. Firefox comes as standard. 99% of any software you need is free, though if you play a lot of games, you might want to set up a dual boot system.
