Photobucket is just good…Thanks for the alternatives..I guess we can share photo’s in Windows live album too..! Well anyways I tried Snapixel and its an amazing service..Just as good as Flickr.!

Thanks for the tips guys. I have seen 23hq but I had to make a selection for the article. Of course there are many more and I would love to hear about them here in the comments. I will check them out.

I also agree with using multiple sites. That’s why I like Migratr. You can simply export your images and add them to another site.

I’d suggest checking out http://www.lifeblob.com – it allows you to import your flickr photos and there is no limit on the photos you can add. Plus as you add your photos, lifeblob discovers related photos of friends and shows them next to yours.

I use facebook to upload the photos I want to share and Picasa to backup my photos. But recently I came across this service called lifeblob.com which integrates my photos from various accounts in one place and what more it is free..

So exploring that at present.

+1 for Windows Live Photos. In addition to the points made by other commenters, WLP also preserves all the IPTC/XMP metadata in your images.

I agree with axel about using more than one source. I have heard horror stories about people who had all their images stored at digital railroad bf it closed and only had 48 hours to retrieve their images.

Why not include http://www.cutcaster.com in your results as well? It offers a free option for people to store, share and sell their images and illustrations and provides their users stats surrounding the images uploaded to the site. Users can upload as many images as they want and can set the price or use a pricing algorithm that helps contributors find the best market price for their images. I think it is a better option possibly than snapixel.

Also, I guess it would be a good idea to use multiple services for your photos. You never know when one closes down…
