It is difficult to determine ‘Creative Commons’. It’s always best to give credit where credit is due, and ask permission of the owner before using on your website. Big blog sites such as the celebrity site, PerezHilton.com, use photos all the time and then link it back to the site.

I get confused on copyright issues with Google images. It is difficult to find those that are listed as Creative Commons.
I generally poke through flickr for that reason as they are easily found with CC. I keep the file name string and then I just credit flickr.
Do you know a better way?
