Agreed, Very convenient service for people that are constantly on the go or traveling. I am going to have to check this out because I often find my self sitting around waiting when I could just start a download and load it later.

That is really neat that you can do it remotely and you can be anywhere with internet access. Really convenient when you need something to be downloaded from home you can start it at work and by the time you are back from the commute it should be done. Saves a lot of idle time.

This seems more difficult to set up than remote control software. In my opinion is easier to set up, easier to use, is cross-platform, and is more functional. It controls all programs, not just bit torrent. This also answers the question about a mac version of a bit torrent remote control.

@Drew and Peter
That is certainly an option if you want to do other tasks as well. However if you only want to manage torrents remotely then I would suggest going this way coz this will certainly decrease the amount of data that is sent over the network.(great for slow connections) and also doesn't require you to run another extra program. Just my 2 cents :) Its cool anyway you do it as long as you get the job done.

Yep Vuze is a nice option as well, although I prefer the lightweight no fuss µtorrent :)

I second Drew and add:
* http://www.mesh.com/
* http://www.logmein.com/

No issues with firewalls or NAT any more. And gives you access to additional local information (telephone numbers, passwords, whatever you store at home)

Hmm, wouldn't it be easier to use one of those Remote Access application (eg. Remobo http://www.remobo.com), which controls your desktop remotely, and fire up your favorite BitTorrent client as if you're sitting right in front of your remote PC?

As for Ubuntu Transmition - the best... simple and user friendly, previously I've tried azareus, seems to slow as for me... also if you need to search for some torrents, check torrents search engine ... it's pretty new, but have a lot of fun torrents in index

Thanks a lot for the instructions. I know how to do something like this for other things, but never thought of doing this for all my torrents. I don't use utorrent but I found a plugin that will work for Azureus (or Vuze) here http://azureus.sourceforge.net/plugin_details.php?plugin=azhtmlwebui
