The music on this album was recorded in one week in March 2012, a week when I was rather unwell and thought I had done very little other than take my cold medicine and watch TV in bed. I played a few soothing tunes on the piano (well, my facsimile of a piano) from time to time, but it came as quite a surprise to find that all of these recordings (and a few weirder ones not included here) had been recorded during that week.

Classical

Genre: classcial, drone, minimalism

A re-imagining of Franz Schubert’s Sonata in A minor, D. 784 — unilaterally re-realized as an auditory structure opposed to the physical-acoustical ‘character’ of Schubert’s conception (an abstracted cultural form) and acognitively aligned with Tony Conrad’s predisposition to just-intonation, the immanence of sound, and free of what Henry Flynt would have described as ‘cognitive pretensions’.

Noise. Noise, noise, noise. Melodic noise, crunching noise, whirling noise, pounding noise, all-encompassing noise.

Cathedral was composed over a two-year period almost entirely from piano samples, plus a very few of night-time crickets recorded in our wildflower garden in central Ohio, where Elizabeth Deupree took the cover photo. It was originally released in 2008 on the Treetrunk netlabel and is presented here in a remastered version.

The artists call this album “an anthology of issues”. It’s based on bad samples left over from previous years. As it turns out, the soundscapes, surreal sounds, and nature sounds were mended into a perfect match for the Rescued Tapes.

Any idea when the new Moodify App coming out, I read in xda that it is an unique reax music app coming which will have 9 category wise 250+ sounds for all day relax...I am a fan of Relax Melody App now, but category wise divided 250 sounds is something I will surely love...my current app have only 50 sounds only for sleep and yoga, they are saying they will have 40+ sounds for Branwave only without any adv....it's from some developer named Androfy...please let us know if you have any news of release date. ?
