Greetings everyone, I just wanted to add that:

1) You may enter any url you want under "File" then "Open URL". And you can add the station if you like it that much to your faves later for quick viewing.

2) About old presents, it is true that support for the official presents has stopped, one dedicated SR fan has his own unofficial presents.

If you want to request a station you can use the official SR forums, and Tapin who is the sole person responsible for the unofficial presents will add your station to the presents. Please read the faq for how you should format your request (include url, station name, country, language, what type of station it is (pop, talk etc))

It's fairly easy to install, download the unofficial present and move the .gz file to install directory of scream radio and allow it to write over old presents. Don't forget to turn off the automatic update presents in your SR preferences, or it'll just rewrite over your new presents! At anytime if you want your old official presents back just choose "update now" from file.

Forums to request a station: http://forums.screamer-radio.com/viewforum.php?f=3

Link to latest unofficial present:

Thank you for pointing us to this cool service, but I have to agree with Sean. I've been unable to connect to many of the stations. Also, recording streams with automatic tagging only works with those stations that include meta info in their particular streams, which only a handful do. You'll be able to still record these streams, however, but with no artist, track, or other data. Still, the streams that work are cool.

Thanks, Dave! Really glad you find Screamer Radio useful.

All credit goes to David Zidar, a gentleman from Sweden who single-handedly developed the application and is generously sharing it with the world.

@bob:
We've got two options:
- If you want a station added to the official preset list:
http://forums.screamer-radio.com/viewtopic.php?t=1340
- If you want to customize your personal preset list:

@ADI: Sorry about the inconvenience, my friend. Still, there seems to be a glimmer of hope and maybe an invitation to get involved: Here's a quote from the Screamer site:

"Will you release Screamer Radio for MacOS/WinCE/WinMobile/Linux/x?

No. I don't have the time to do the necessary work since porting an application to a different operating system is a big project.

However, with a bit of technical expertise you can get it to work helpfully under WINE in Linux."
