The Internet has given us access to unending amounts of information and content, and hence it is time one should consider changing his reading habits to make it more productive. ReadSpeeder is a web based speed reading tool which aims to help you read faster and develop your speed reading skills. It features a speed reading player which throws up phrases and words at a pace which can be adjusted from slow to faster. You can access its library of free public domain books or sign up and add your own text.

    Thanks for the great write up on ReadSpeeder. I would also like to point out that any text that can be copied and pasted can be added to ReadSpeeder. And ReadSpeeder can be used in both a manual mode where you directly control when to advance the phrases, or in a 'Play' mode for hands-free reading. For more information see:

      Good to know that I can paste my own stuff in.

      I'm an avid political blog reader, so it would be more efficient to read what I'm reading every day anyway.

        Trevor, the site has changed over the years. It has been split into a course and a tool. is a 12 lesson course. And although you can still add your own text to it, the best way for reading blogs is with the tool.
