Have you ever wanted to easily restrict content access on your site to registered users? Normally, you would use a content management platform that lets you do so, but what if what you’re using doesn’t have said feature (which is the case in most general page builders and blogging platforms)?
Well, QuickInsert is a simple-to-use free tool that lets you create content on your site with a user community using only one line of code.

Once you sign up with QuickInsert, you can then create content with a simple HTML editor. You can choose whether to restrict this content to users, or allow them to share it. You then copy the QuickInsert code it generates for your content onto your site, and voila, you’ve just created protected content for your site.
There’s also a QuickInsert login widget that you can put on your site where users can access the login form or register for your content. QuickInsert works pretty much on any website, so you can put it on your blog, personal site, etc. Another thing that’s great about it is that you can sell content to your users. You can set up the QuickInsert user registration with Paypal or Google Checkout, and have your users pay to access your site’s protected content (via one-time payments or subscriptions).

There are many options and settings in the QuickInsert control panel. These include editing users, sending them email, editing content, editing the widget theme, and payment options. It’s quite versatile so you can use the service to do quite a few things with content on your site. However, unless you’re familiar with CSS, you’re stuck with the general QuickInsert widget aesthetic, which to me doesn’t look quite as good as a service like this should. Nevertheless, this is just a small setback to a site that offers something as innovative as this.
QuickInsert is completely free, but there are paid options for access to more features. Right now with the free version, you get 5GB of content space, 0.1GB/month of bandwidth, and a user quota of 100. The service is still quite new, so some of the paid features (such as the QuickInsert link removal and on-site content editing) are still under construction.
