I don't really know of a good alternative for Linux either, but you could try running w.bloggar with <a href="http://www.winehq.org/" rel="nofollow">Wine</a>. You could also run a Windows instance under <a href="http://www.virtualbox.org/" rel="nofollow">VirtualBox</a>, and use WLW that way. Very good question.
