Bad example; PNG is only suitable for non-complicated images. For that specific image, I got the filesize down to less than 10kb with no loss of quality simply by encoding as JPG instead.

ANYTHING photographic should always be optimized as a JPG, and PNG should be used to save vector type drawings, screenshots etc.

Also, the app isn’t actually that good. The standard png export of photoshop was able to save it as a png of 24kb, significantly less than the 76kb this app did, with no visible loss of quality.

well this is a great tool for bloggers to compress their images without loosing the quality of picture and the result here is looking great i will definitely give it a try :)
