When we find something interesting online, we are quick to copy the URL of the webpage and share it with our friends on our favorite online social networks. But a webpage has a lot of things on it. There are various sections, numerous images, and so on. Your friends might click the link and spend a few seconds on the page before they find what you specifically wanted to share.

What you need is a way to share only a particular part of a webpage. Whether it is a link, a picture, a video, you want to share only that part of a webpage rather than the entire URL. Here to help you do that and share in a more focused manner is the excellent browser tool called Pluck.

Pluck is a free to use browser tool that comes for Google Chrome as an extension. After you install the extension you will find the extension’s icon placed on the browser’s address bar. To share a specific part of any webpage, all you have to do is first click the icon. A toolbar will appear on top of the webpage with a “Preview” button visible. Next, you should highlight the section you want to share and click on the Preview button.

You will be taken to a preview of what your sharing link will look like. This link can then be shared onto Facebook and Twitter using buttons in the same toolbar. A direct link button lets you copy the direct link to this highlighted material and share it with friends however you wish.
