If you're looking for an easy way to keep up with your favorite YouTube videos, but continue working on other things on your computer, there are a couple of Firefox add-ons that make it easy to do just that.

Keep YouTube on Top of Firefox

Firefox add-on YouTube Video Player Pop Out [No Longer Available] allows you to easily pop out any YouTube video and watch it in an automatically resized, small window that stays on top of Firefox.

This is a great way to keep watching a video while you browse online. The drawback this add-on is that it only keeps the video on top of Firefox. If you want to switch to another program or window, it won't stay pinned on top of all of your windows.

Moving the window can be a little glitchy, but it's possible to drag it to other parts of the screen. It appears, by default, in the top-left corner of your screen.

Keep YouTube on Top of All Windows

If you prefer to keep the YouTube window on top of all of your programs, Stay On Top [No Longer Available] will be a more useful add-on. You can use this add-on to keep an entire Firefox window on top of all your other windows. Unlike the previous add-on, the window is not automatically resized for you. Just open up the YouTube video you want to watch, resize it, and hit the blue pin button in Firefox.

This is a great option if you're following a YouTube tutorial and want to follow along while you go through the steps in the tutorial. If you prefer Chrome over Firefox, you can use this extension to keep YouTube videos on top of your other windows.
