I have been using Digsby for several months now. However, when it updates in my PC using Windows 2000, it mucks up the application such that I have to uninstall and re-install Digsby again. But in my laptop running WindowsXP, its auto-update feature works just fine. I don't know if the Windows 2000 bug has been fixed (I've stopped using Digsby in my PC), but I sure like Digsby as it has all my chat clients (except CHIKKA) and it can monitor my email accounts (even if Firefox with Webmail Notifier and GMail Notifier close). It can even monitor MySpace and Facebook!

I would like to add that besides that minor issue with skins wasting quite a bit of my time (no fault of Digsby's), Digsby is already by far my favorite chat client. The integration with email (gmail is all I've tested, but it works great) is brilliantly realized and makes perfect sense to have bundled with a chat client. The look is very nice and the popup showing new messages is much nicer than any I've seen before.

Anybody wondering if they should give Digsby a try, consider this a resounding Yes from a long time Gaim/Pidgin user.

You can't install skins in the Application Data folder, and it's untrue updates will overwrite skins in the default folder now.
