One really cool effect that you can apply to your images is making one color stand out while turning the others black and white. Here to help you add that effect to digital photos stored on your iOS device is an application called Picaflor.

Picaflor is a free to use smartphone application for iOS devices. The application is sized at nearly 10 MB and it runs on iPod Touch, iPhone, and iPad devices that have iOS version 5.0 or later. You can use the app to apply a cool desaturation effect to existing photos or new photos you take through the app. You can select the image and pick out the color you want to pop out. The rest of the image is turned black and white, drawing focus on the parts of the image that have your selected color.

The final image can be saved to your camera roll, shared on Facebook, or simply emailed to friends.

  • A user-friendly phone app.
  • Compatible with iOS devices.
  • Lets you perform selective desaturation to images.
  • Lets you save final images, share them on Facebook, or email them to friends.
  • Similar tool: SplashCam.

Picaflor is a neat app, and it does the exact opposite of what the title states here: it DEsaturates all but one color!
