Q: Can I take one part from my favorite song and make it my ringtone?
A: Yes, phonezoo lets you do it.
How does it work?
1) Register, 2) Upload your music track to Phonezoo, 3) select a part you like and save it and 4) forward ready ringtone to your phone. So as long as there is a music track on your PC you can get a free personalized ringtone for it. Tool for creating ringtones is quite simple and straightforward, just make sure to upload file less then 12 MB in size and in supported format (MP3 WAV,AAC,M4A and WMA).
There is no limit on the number of ringtones you can make, each one can be set either public or private. Public ones can be viewed, rated, commented, tagged and saved to profile by other members. Which means as a member, apart from your own ring tones you also get access to all public ringtones created by other members.
There is only a small BUT …
Each ringtone created on phonezoo can be either set to non-copyrighted or copyrighted
status. And while there is no restriction on non-copyrighted ones which can instantly be mailed to your phone, for copyrighted ones you need to have copy of the original music file before you can get them. Which really doesn’t change anything, because if you already have the file you can create ringtone for it anyway.
Things to Consider
- Ringtone can be max. 20 sec long.
- UNFORTUNATELY only our US readers can enjoy this service at the moment.
- Some phones and carriers are not supported (see here)
Phonezoo is quite new and not crowded yet but I am pretty sure that’s not for long. I saw a number of vool ringtones already, just check out most downloaded or top rated lists.
