Speech-to-text is a blessing for everybody who hates to type on the computer. Normally however the feature is absent from web browsers thereby forcing you to type text in webpages. But a very useful tool called Oweb Voice Input changes that.

entering text by speaking

Oweb Voice Input is a browser tool that adds speech-to-text to your web browser. The tool comes as a browser extension for Google Chrome. After the extension has been installed, it adds a microphone icon to every text box you see in webpages. To activate it, simply click on the icon and speak into the microphone; remember to slightly pause between words to indicate multiple words. Your speech will be detected, converted into words, and entered into the text box – everything is done automatically.

  • A user-friendly browser extension.
  • Compatible with Google Chrome.
  • Converts speech to text.
  • Supports adding multiple words.
  • Similar tools: Talk to Type, AnyDO and DragonDictate.
