I upgraded from Tiger directly to Snow Leopard and found that with Spaces I don't have any graphics showing in the small windows panes that you use to flip between screens. Anyone have an idea. I am just guessing which window has which applications tied to it every time I use Spaces. I stopped in an Apple Store and asked about it too and it had them stumped. Is this a bug?

I like 3 spaces (one internet browsing/general space; one calendar/email/to-do list/stickies space, and one itunes/vm space), that way I am always at most 1 space away from where I want to be. It's worked great for the 2 or so years that I've used it.

I use Linux, the free version of Mac ;) And it does (compiz) the whole virtual desktop thing better - so much prettier and faster

I also use 4 Spaces, but aligned horizontally, and Warp (http://www.ksuther.com/warp/) to move among them with the mouse - without the keyboard.
