If you’re using LastPass to store passwords and other sensitive information, or if you’ve always wanted to give it a try, a new iOS app from LastPass is going to make your life just a bit easier. LastPass Wallet is the new addition to the LastPass mobile suite, and can be used by both regular members and premium members of LastPass.
If you’ve never used LastPass before, you can create an account from within the app. You can later use this account on the web interface and other LastPass platforms as well. If you already have a LastPass account, signing in will sync all your information into LastPass Wallet.
So what can you do with Wallet? The app revolves around LastPass’s secure notes feature, with templates for credit cards, bank accounts, memberships and more. You can easily create any kind of note or access notes you created on other devices, view them, edit them, and sync notes back to your other devices. You can also attach audio clips, photos and text to your notes through the app.
If you’re worried about your sensitive information being stolen, you can set the app to log out on close, log out when idle, or require a pin code after returning from background. This way you won’t have to worry about someone getting their hands on your device and thus on all your passwords and information.
LastPass Wallet is currently available for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. There’s no word on if and when it will be available on other platforms, but Premium LastPass members ($12 a year) can use the existing apps for Android, Windows Phone, Blackberry, or other mobile apps.
