New Changes at MUO
Today on MakeUseOf.com we changed a few things. This is not going to be some long laundry list of things I’ll bore you lovely readers out there with…but rather just to introduce a few things on the surface (there were MANY things changed behind the scenes).
Now the header image goes all the way across the screen. Not a show stopper, but something that needed a little touch.
Also, the posts have changed slightly. You’ll still get the MakeUseOf goodness you’ve grown accustomed to, but now with fresher icons and a little more color.
Two words…tagging support!
You now have a few seconds to edit your comment once you’ve submitted it. So for all of you who accidentally forgot to include that URI or left half a sentence off…you can now go right back in a fix it.
A few things on the sidebar have changed as well. The Authors section has been moved to the bottom and cleaned up a bit.
That about wraps up the current changes, hope you all continue to love, read, and support MakeUseOf.com.

I visit this blog today and the only change i notice is the Authors section that has been moved to the bottom. Has it been agreed by them? I remember when it was on the sidebar i click through these links often to go to the Authors blog. It means it’s good promotion for them. But now i’m afraid not many readers will notice about this section.
We are aware of that. And to compensate for that we have other plans to promote them.
The pages load a bit more slowly because of the tag cloud, but it does look better.
On the geeky-fun page, you still see the old header.
But great work!
Yeap, Geeky fun and directory still use the old template. Once we are done with the blog we will add it there as well.
Looking good guys! I love the new look and feel. The admin area looks totally different as well. I am sure a lot of hard work and sweat went into this (during the 4/20 weekend!)
Were there any issues with the Wordpress upgrade? I will be doing a few of them this weekend?
And I can’t wait to see what you have in store to help promote us better Aibek!

The upgrade went smooth. And yeah, the new look and feel is great.
I was just wondering, the footer that contains a mini-bio of the author doesn’t show up in the emails anymore. is that intentional or not? i love that mini-bio, so i know who’s writing the article….
