thqlogo Name Your Price For 7 THQ Games Thanks To Humble Bundle [Updates]The Humble Bundle is a fantastic idea. It typically features a number of indy games where buyers can choose their own price. The Humble Bundle crew is breaking the mold with its latest release, this time bringing a number of triple-A releases from THQ. Not that there is anything wrong with independent games, but the chance to get mainstream games from a huge publisher like THQ is unheard of.

The Humble THQ bundle is offering a total of seven high quality games at the low cost of whatever you want to pay. No matter what, you will get six games, but if you spend over the average you will also get Saints Row the Third. As of this writing, the average is only $5.62.

Besides Saints Row the Third, buyers will also get Darksiders, Metro 2033, Red Faction Armageddon, Company of Heroes, Company of Heroes Opposing Fronts, and Company of Heroes Tales of Valor.

Not only do you get to choose your own price, but you also get to decide where your money goes. You can split it between THQ, charity, and a tip for the Humble Bundle team. You can give as much or as little to each of the three as you choose.

All games are downloadable through Steam on Windows only. In addition to the games, you also get DRM free versions of each of the games’ soundtracks. The deal is running until November 12, so don’t miss your chance to grab some critically acclaimed games ultra-cheap!

I really hope you mean at the end of your article “The deal is running until December 12″?

Uh huh. Unless he expects us to buy via time machine.

Kinda sad to see the Humble Bundle offering Windows-only DRM’d AAA games from a major publisher. On the other hand, it is a good deal for some good games.

It’s such a shame that my parents don’t allow me to play games.

BTW shouldn’t it be until DECEMBER 12?

Best bargain, ever! Just had to chip in to get these even though my computer’s in major need of an overhaul to cope with even playing Saints Row in decent quality. After the new year (and some new computer parts) I’ll be giving this lot the once over :-)

It is sad to see Humble Bundle selling Windows-only games. One of the reasons with the bundles stood out in the past was the requirement of multiplatform (Mac, Linux, Windows and even Android). I’ve bought some bundles in the past, but without Linux versions in future bundles, all HB e-mails will go to the Spam folder. And I shan’t recommend it to my friends. I’m sorry.

The business model is very good. THB is doing a good job fending off piracy in a more elegant way.
