Do you like listening to music while lying in bed? It can be a great way to help you fall asleep. However, you typically have only two options for dealing with the music after you are slumbering. Usually, you can set a timer to turn your phone off, but this requires you to predict how long it will take you to go to sleep. You can just leave your music on all night, but that is certainly not the optimal way to go.

The aptly named Android app called Music Off is the perfect solution, as it turns your music off automatically when you go to sleep.

The app uses your phone’s accelerometer to detect movement and turn your phone off automatically when you enter a deep sleep. You can adjust the sensitivity between one and ten to determine how much movement will keep the music playing. You can also run a calibration test to see how much sensitivity is just right for you and your situation. As you fall asleep, the volume decreases gradually, which should be more soothing for most users.

Of course, the app also comes with a standard timer if you prefer to forgo the motion sensing features. Either way, this is an awesome application for having your music turn off when you want to sleep. It’s easy to use, and it comes with all the features you need for listening to music and drifting off to sleep.

  • Automatically turns off music when you fall asleep.
  • Senses lack of movement to turn off music.
  • Turns off music gradually.
  • Traditional timer available.
