I actually use a combination of Picasa, Photobucket, and Flickr. Picasa is strictly for my digital camera photos since i use the desktop software to manage them. Photobucket is what i mostly use to post things in various places on the internet like forums, blogs, etc, where I want to post the actual picture, not a link to the picture. Flickr is mostly for sharing screenshots in one of the games I play in but it’s bandwidth limitations for free users makes it rather unappealing to me.

I’d use Flickr more often, but I’ve learned friends and family are more likely to see my photos when I upload to Facebook or Mysapce.

My wife is is loyal to KodakGallery for some reason.

I use pbase.com which is a paid site, but about $25 per year with no advertising. It also allows comments and you can upload full-size images and brows that way too. For me, flickr was too much about flickr and not enough about you, the user/photographer. The photography on pbase is worldwide and is quite good. Take a look!

I use KoffeePhoto. Unlimited photo sharing, photo enhancement functions, optional photo software including a background uploader, etc..

That’s the only photo-sharing I do right now. Maybe some day when I get around to getting my own domain and hosting and whatnot I’ll setup some Python app to do my own gallery, but until then…meh, Facebook’s good enough.

I’ve been using http://www.tinypic.com for the longest time and just recently found http://www.iimmgg.com for posting my pictures online.

I really like how simple iimmgg.com is to use. Upload an unlimited number of images at once, instead of the normal way of selecting either 1 or 5 images to upload. When you create your gallery, you get your own subdomain to show your gallery (yourgalleryname.iimmgg.com)

Oh, and it’s totally free.

I have been using Flickr right from the very beginning but in the past year or so I have scaled back on it and I am planning to start putting my photos on my website instead. I figured why pay Flickr $25 a year for their premium membership when I already pay Yahoo $12 a month for their unlimited web hosting? So I cancelled the Flickr membership and I will be making web photo albums when I have the time (ha! time! what’s that?!!)

KodakGallery (a modest cost plus one order a year) and it’s my archive of photos. Being a belt and suspenders guy, I have them on Mozy, emailed to a gmail address, AND stored on CDs in a relative’s house in another state.

It’s the only one I’ve discovered that can basically host unlimited pics and videos (your allotment goes up every month, so you’ll probably never run out of space) and they’re never deleted even if they haven’t been downloaded or viewed in a while.

so far I just upload my pictures at http://www.myfocusphotos.com/ , it’s easy and I can share them with my friends. They also have contests which is pretty cool (they even gave away an iPod!).

I also use facebook, so far it’s the only site I’ve used

I have to give Props to ipernity which a lot of disgruntled Flickr users switched too
as a result of Flickr Censorship issues in Germany + other spots in Europe +
the Middle East + Asia – of course originating from good ol’ Politcally Correct
NeoConservative Bush + Brainwashed Flock America. The key to ipernity is it has
the same identical look + feel + Ease of Use of Flickr.

1 more thing the 3rd Party Apps + Hacks + Mashups for Flickr are Amazing!!

There’s so much competition between all the photo sites. It’s almost as bad as with the social networking sites – and they often have links to one of the photo sites, too. I use Flickr and there’s no way I want to start with another site. There’s more on Flickr than I have time to enjoy.

I guess it’s good to have competition, but I wish there was a central way to tie them all together. FriendFeed comes closest so far, so I’m hoping it expands.
