Our first poll was a blast. Over 1200 votes! We figured out that Internet Explorer is even less popular then we thought. Which suggests that you would rather see a story about Apple’s Safari or Opera rather than IE.
It’s time for another poll. The question of the day is “Do you Download TV shows ?” Since most of us are major TV show addicts, this one should be even more interesting. We all use different ways to go about it, some folks go with subscription-based services, more tech-aware users use torrents, others stream stuff online etc. So how do you do it ?

I say SurfTheChannel.com
I tend to use Hulu and check out season DVD’s from the library. That’s really all I need.
Well torrents and megaupload and all are the norms I think - you just need to find one of those forums or community blogs that has every movie/tv show/far eastern drama ever done listed
And for everything else there are sites like sidereel
At least that’s what I *heard* y’know…
Who cares to download the shows when they are available everywhere on the net.
ovguide is one such destination
I watch TV shows on the Beeb’s iPlayer, but I am sure that if I were in the US, I would definitly be watching Hulu.com!
If it’s something I’ll want to re-watch eventually, and I care about quality, I’ll usually go for iTunes or DVDs. Otherwise, I’ll try to find a DivX copy online. I watched BSG s4e2 online yesterday. I’ll probably buy a box set when I have enough money, though.
I use IRC searches and download via XDCC. You just send a message to a bot and they send you a show back.
Hmmm… Sounds interesting. Will check it out
btw, there should be an “other” option.
I occasionally watch an episode online, if my DVR has missed something, or my kids have erased it. I don’t download such shows, but usually just watch them from whatever network site they air on.
Where’’s the No option? I know they exist, but have never downloaded. Watch live TV though, when the football (soccer for those in the US) is on and I am out of the UK.
