Monitor Your Weather with Weather Watcher Live

Sometimes I’m stuck in the office and don’t have opportunity to check the weather outside. So I’m just sitting there oblivious to the storm brewing outside. Singer’s program Weather Watcher Live is a great take on a weather application for your desktop.

Weather Watcher Live

Weather Watcher Live is your personal, real-time Windows desktop weather station. View real-time weather conditions in your neighborhood from WeatherBug weather stations, or as reported by NWS.

Current Conditions Weather Watcher Live is able to automatically retrieve current conditions hourly forecasts even severe weather alerts. You can even always view the current conditions by hovering your mouse over the Weather Watcher Live system tray icon.

Like most weather applications you can set it up to automatically retrieve weather data at set intervals and even change what you’re system tray icon shows at any given time. This great application even has a ton of contributors livening up the interface by supplying icons and skins.

Weather Watch Live currently only works on later builds of Windows. 98 and above.

I think the best site for weather info is wunderground.com. I have on my toolbar saved with my zip code, 17050 — actually near Hershey. Click on the radar screen to customize your view and create a loop of the past few minutes radar images. Very accurate innfo.

    I love Mike Singer’s work.

And I’m also part of the Wunderground webcam network.

    Cuts both ways, I guess.
