This week in Weird & Wonderful Web, we compile the best video parodies of Wrecking Ball by Miley Cyrus. This song and its accompanying music video were both ripe for spoofing, with Cyrus completely changing her appearance and writhing around on the titular wrecking ball in an eye-popping state of undress. Oh Miley, how we love/hate you (delete as applicable).

Bart Baker
Bart Baker was just one of a number of established YouTube stars to take on Miley with a unique interpretation of Wrecking Ball. Baker takes the whole thing very literally, with lyrics recounting the recent events in Miley's life. Highlights include Baker licking an old woman (which may or may not be his mother), and Steve-O showing up to swallow a condom. And then there's Ron Jeremy, who mistakes the video shoot for the set of a porno movie. Well, it's understandable.
Construction Workers
More than anyone else, the one group who had the right to bitch and moan about the video of Wrecking Ball should have been that of construction workers. After all, here's a barely dressed young popstar totally ignoring health and safety rules simply to grab some attention. These particular construction workers have had enough, and decide to take Miley to task for her ill-advised behavior. Or it could just be a skit by College Humor. Either way, it's funny.
Shane Dawson
Shane Dawson's take on Wrecking Ball, with Miley Cyrus played by Kristin Findley, focuses on the tongue. Yes, that tongue. Miley's always-out, unwieldy, shockingly long tongue. As you may have noticed, Miley likes sticking her tongue out at every opportunity. No one knows why, probably not even her. But we should be thankful she has this strange affliction because it led to the creation of this hilarious video.
Minecraft
This parody has nothing whatsoever to do with Miley Cyrus, apart from the use of the melody from Wrecking Ball. Instead, this interpretation is all about Minecraft, with one player telling his tale of woe at the hands of creepers and wrecking mobs. It ends with our hero losing his patience and turning to TNT to rid himself of the troublemakers. And if he blows himself and his creations up in the process then so be it. It's what Miley would have wanted.
Lisa Schwartz
Lisa Schwartz is having a bad day. Nothing is going right for her, to the point she gets so frustrated that she starts lashing out at anyone she comes into contact with. Literally. The poor unfortunate men get a swift kick to the testicular region, while the ladies get a punch in the breasticles. This particular parody should really have been titled Wrecking Balls, but I guess that would have excluded the female half of the population.
Nicholas Cage
Cats are cute and adorable, and the Internet absolutely loves them to bits. Nicholas Cage, on the other hand, is neither cute or adorable, and yet the Internet also loves him to bits. Why? I haven't a clue. But it does mean people put an extraordinary amount of effort into placing Cage into and on other things. Such as with this short video which has Cage's face digitally placed over Miley Cyrus' face. I've watched this numerous times and I'm still not sure whether to laugh or cry.
Wrecking Ball Pitch Shifted
This has to count as the most unsettling Wrecking Ball parody out there on the Internetz. This is because the music has had its pitch shifted until it grinds on your eardrums like fingers being slowly pulled down a chalkboard. The video isn't much better, with Cyrus presented in negative form and resembling something horrific conjured up by Stephen King. If this doesn't give you nightmares then I don't know what will.
How It Should Have Ended
Last but not least we have a short and very sweet clip showing how Wrecking Ball should have ended. With Miley Cyrus herself being ended. In a messy stain on the wall. At least if this had happened we wouldn't have been subjected to any more terrible twerking or turgid tongue action. We can but dream.
