Microsoft OneNote is a highly popular note-taking application that lets you create and manage notes in an organized manner. But OneNote can only be used through your computer. What you need is a way to add notes to your OneNote notebook on the go. This is precisely what MobileNoter lets you do.

MobileNoter is a web service that lets Windows users add notes to their OneNote notebooks through their smartphones. You start using the service by creating an account on the site and then downloading its desktop client. The final step is to download the smartphone application; currently iOS and Android devices are supported; support for BlackBerry seems to be in the works.

With the desktop client and phone app setup, you can perform numerous OneNote-related features in addition to adding notes; these features include using your smartphone to view your OneNote notebooks, editing your OneNote pages, inputting handwriting and drawing, adding OneNote tags, adding text formatting to your notes, and creating audio recordings.

It's about time.  I keep use both One Note and Evernote and can't remember where I last left something.  Looking forward to testing it.  brad@ivyexec.com

I currently use onenote on the desktop so I am ready to give this a try.

This is a dream come true.  OneNote has been locked onto the desktop which severely limits its use.  This will allow all of us "noters" to take it along.  Thank you MobileNoter.

I use OneNote all the time to take notes with my tablet pc for my university classes.  This works very well but occasionally I take some notes on my Android phone using google tasks or Evernote.  While Evernote is a fantastic application, I'm all about streamlining my software usage and MobileNoter may be just the way to help in this quest.
