We all love some Angry Birds action, don’t we? OK, maybe not everyone is addicted 5 Reasons Angry Birds Is So Damn Addictive 5 Reasons Angry Birds Is So Damn Addictive My name is Dave Parrack, I'm a 34-year-old freelance writer from England, and I have a problem. I'm addicted to playing Angry Birds. Being hooked on catapulting feathered weapons of mass destruction into smug pigs... Read More to playing the fiendishly difficult yet deceptively simple mobile game from Rovio. But those of us who are, have been merrily enjoying Angry Birds Space for a while now.

However, there was a considerable period of time to wait for Angry Birds Space to drop, and we all needed other addictive mobile games to play while waiting. Which was the basis for last week’s ‘We Ask [You] Tell Us’ question. We wanted to find out what other mobile games we should all check out, whether you discovered them while waiting patiently for Angry Birds Space or not.

Which Mobile Games Have You Played While Waiting For Angry Birds Space?

We asked you, Which Mobile Games Have You Played While Waiting For Angry Birds Space? Once again the number of people responding was a little disappointing but those who did answer the question graciously recommended their favorite mobile games. And I’m grateful for each and every one who did. Hopefully the MakeUseOf readership will be able to make use of the suggestions.

Games suggested include Where’s My Water?, The Creeps!, Running Fred, Trucks and Skulls, Cut The Rope, and Sea Battle Lite. A reader by the name of LordDai also recommended Dragon Ball: Origins, which reminded me that there is life beyond free games on smartphones. For those who are serious about gaming on the go, handheld games consoles are still where it’s at.

Comment Of The Week

Comment of the week goes to Mark O’Neill, who gets nothing but my admiration and respect (which is surely more than anyone needs) for:

On the iPhone (and the iPad too if you increase the size of the screen) is an Angry Birds-like game called “Trucks & Skulls”. In this, you throw trucks at structures containing skulls, and you have to make the skulls explode. Highly addictive.

I’ve also been playing “Cut The Rope” which is also very addictive and also very frustrating!

Mark just happens to be the Managing Editor of MakeUseOf, and consequently my boss, but that didn’t have anything to do with the decision. Honestly. Instead Mark got the nod for recommending two great games, one of which is very similar to Angry Birds. As I replied at the time, Truck & Skulls looks like Angry Birds on acid.

We’ll be asking a new question tomorrow, so please join us then. ‘We Ask [You] Tell Us’ is a weekly column dedicated to finding out the opinions of MakeUseOf readers. We ask you a question and you tell us what you think. The question is open-ended and is usually open to debate. Some questions will be purely opinion-based, while others will see you sharing tips and advice, or advocating tools and apps for your fellow MakeUseOf Readers. This column is nothing without you, as MakeUseOf is nothing without you.
