I have an issue with the memory usage. I am sitting here watching manictime's memory usage and it keeps going up and up and up and up. I mean, it is not that much in total, but does it actually stop?

This is all nice. But wouldn't it make more sense to track time on the things you actually do to achieve your goals?

You may also check out http://www.GoalsOnTrack.com, a very nicely built web app designed for tracking goals and todo lists, and has time tracking. It's clear, focused, easy to navigate, worth a try.

[...] The ability to tag idle time adds a great deal of functionality to the application: you can tag time spent in meetings, making phone calls, or even time logged at the gym. The tag system makes it easy to keep tabs on what work you’re doing for different projects and clients—an especially handy feature for people who spend all their time using a similar set of applications for nearly every task at work. You can graph user specified blocks of time based on a variety of parameters like the basic active/idle cycles, by applications, or tags to see how your time is spent. The tag system makes it easy to keep tabs on what work you’re doing for different projects and clients—an especially handy feature for people who spend all their time using a similar set of applications for nearly every task at work. You can graph user specified blocks of time based on a variety of parameters like the basic active/idle cycles, by applications, or tags to see how your time is spent. i have found an easy way to hide icons in task bar (without installation of any new program ), form properties of task bar just click on hide inactive icons then click customize and choose always hide for the program you need to hide .

Thanks again .

There are few ways you can do this. If you wanted to take some time, you can create a service out of the exe, which I'll be writing about this week.

There are also many apps you can pay for to show/hide system tray icons. I'm still trying to locate the best free app to do this.

You could also add the following registry hack to hide ALL icons.

Browse to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\
Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

Right click on Explorer, and then select New -> DWORD (32-bit) Value (DWORD Value in Windows XP). Type NoTrayItemsDisplay as its value name. Set the value as 1.

Thanks for the valuable information .

you said : "With some additional knowledge, you could even add the ability to hide the Manictime icon from users and they’ll never even know that they are being monitored."

Could you tell me how to do this ?

Thanks in advance .
