There are other apps that locate gas stations by gas price much better than Gas Bag. Gas Bag uses a community of users for their gas prices however other apps use information based on actual listed gas prices. With these apps you dont have to worry about the black out areas. If you go to appspatrol.com you can find some iphone app reviews on a lot of better gas locating applications

Why not try Igoshi?

It's very simple - but will work for anyone anywhere when your language skills let you down.

http://www.standardease.co.uk/igoshi/ or straight from the Apple Appstore:

Great article. I use an app 'GPS Log' to record all the places I've been when I travel as a bit of a travel diary, and also so I can find places again later.

I didn't know of Gas Bag, thanks for that one.

I've got Urban Spoon installed and have tried using it but always go to another App for better results/usage. The one I tend to use most is "iWant". It gives restaurants, gas stations, bars, cafes, movies, hotels, banks, etc. You can sort restaurants by Yelp review and it has a map view too. Recommended.
