MakeUseOf now has a Facebook Fan Page

If any of you have a Facebook account, I’d like to turn your attention to the newly-created Make Use of Facebook fan page.

While it is a bit on the bare side at the moment, we are hoping to spruce it up with a few tech fans and hopefully create a bit of buzz over at the social networking site.

Here are some of the things you can do on the page :

  • Upload a photo of yourself and let us see what you look like
  • Upload a photo of your PC (only if there is something to look at ;-) )
  • Upload a small video in the video section
  • Begin a discussion on the discussion board.

In fact the discussion board will probably be the central hub of the page. The main Make Use Of site doesn’t have a forum where people can initiate discussions on any tech-related subject and so this will be an interesting experiment to see what subjects people end up talking about.

We are also looking to see if we can point the Make Use Of RSS feed towards the Facebook page so if you tend to hang out a lot at Facebook then you will also hopefully be able to see when we post new stories here.

So why not head on over and join the page, (click “become a fan” in the top right hand corner) and if you don’t have a Facebook account yet, this might be a good excuse to finally get one.

If any of you are Facebook experts, we would also like to hear any ideas you may have for the page. Do you know of any cool apps we can add to the page? Just post your suggestions in the comments or on the Facebook page discussion board!
