If you’re using chrome, click the wrench and go to extensions. Click get more extensions and search for Gmail.

The first one should be
Send from Gmail (by Google) by extensions.for.gapps

It puts a buttton up top in chrome which opens a compose window. I’m not sure if I like it yet or not, but there is also an extension without a button.

There is also the gmailbydefault application which works well with Google Apps domain accounts (and corporate accounts) – its free from http://www.zedlan.com.

Corporate domain does not seem to work with this gattach application…kept saying there was error in communication

Wow, thanks much for this. I’ve been using this Vista Sidebar Gadget that i LOVE except that it wouldn’t open up Gmail in my browser. This has fixed the problem and now it’s PERFECT. Thanks!
