There is a lot of information in email that you cannot copy, so you have to type it all out manually in case you want to share it with others. For Mac users, a solution for this exists in the form of Mail Clips.
Mail Clips is a free to use desktop application for computers running Mac. The app is sized at nearly 0.5 MB and is compatible with Mac OS X 10.6.6 or later. Using this application you can easily copy the Mail.app properties of the messages you receive. This information mostly includes the stuff you would generally have to type out yourself. For example, you can copy the email addresses of multiple recipients or the senders of the email.
Other things you can copy using this nifty application include headers of emails, their subjects, and of course the content. But the app’s function does not end at simply copying this information to the clipboard. The email addresses of email senders and email recipients, for instance, can all be copied to your address book. To keep things neat and organized, the email addresses you import this way are all placed in a new group so you know where to find them – something that makes organization much easier.
If you have a lot of emails that you would want to make more portable, you can use the app’s ‘bonus’ feature which is to transfer messages to a readable document. Basically, the app lets you select single or multiple messages and then transfer them to digital documents of the PDF or RTF file format. This makes the emails more accessible on other machines; this also makes it easier to upload email information online or simply carry around in a flash drive.
