If you use the Internet regularly, then there is a good chance you have an account on Facebook, Twitter, or both. There is also a good chance you have added friends on these accounts who share a lot of online links, many of which are of no interest to you. If you would like to filter out these uninteresting links, you should check out a site called LikeHack.
LikeHack is a web service that is currently free to use. This website recognizes the fact that, in the news stream of your social networking accounts, there are many items that are not of interest to you. Through LikeHack, you can solve this problem. After signing up for an account on the site, you can connect your Facebook and /or Twitter accounts.
In the next step, you can specify what type of content you would like to view. Content options include no filtering, excluding media files such as files, photos, videos, music, and various URLs, and excluding information URLs such as articles, blogs, and news. Another filter lets you blacklist all posts that have certain words or are related to certain words you specify. You simply type these words and then click on an orange button that says ‘Add’.
Your streams are imported from Facebook and Twitter for these filters to be applied to them. The streams are uploaded back for you to view after every 3 hours or so.
