You might have come across tools that let you compare book prices across different online vendors. These tools let you quickly execute a search, compare prices, and then go with the online store that is cheapest.  Leatherbound performs the same service but instead of physical books, it works for eBooks.

Leatherbound is a free and easy to use web tool. The site offers a realtime searching tool – your results are updated as you type in your query. The left pane is where you enter your search and see a few suggested searches. Your results pop up in the right pane. Once you find your book and click on it, it opens up with its description on the left and its store prices on the right.

The searched stores include Amazon, Barnes & Noble Nook, and iBookstore. Purchasing links are available ahead of each store link that take you directly to the eBook’s page on the respective online store.
